Injuries of teeth when doing sports.
This severe trauma was caused by an elbow blow.
It could have been avoided if the player had been
wearing a PLAYSAFE mouthguard. |
| |
- Visit you dentist.
- Your dentist will take impressions of your
teeth by using a material which tastes like
toothpaste.
- In the lab these impressions are filled with
plaster and a duplication of your teeth is the
result.
- The plaster model of your upper jaw will be
placed into a thermoforming unit of ERKODENT.
A plastic foil will be warmed up in our unit
and via air-pressure or vacuum-technique this
foil will be formed according to your teeth.
According to the type of PLAYSAFE it can be
several foils in a multistage process.
- By forming our foil(s) according to your (plaster)
teeth a PLAYSAFE mouthguard is produced. For
best protection you put your PLAYSAFE mouthguard
onto your teeth. Your PLAYSAFE mouthguard fits
only to your teeth, it is an custom-made protection
device.
- Now fully enjoy your sports. You do not have
to worry about severe injuries of your teeth
anymore (which would last all you life).
